Team to beware of: Temple Owls
This week: -13 at SMU Mustangs
The Temple Owls are not only coming off their biggest game of the season against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, but also their first loss. Temple had its opportunities to knock off the Irish in Philadelphia, but just couldn’t contain DeShone Kizer for the full four quarters. That game likely took a lot out of the Owls and it will be extremely difficult for them to bounce back in this spot, on the road against what is perceived to be an inferior opponent.
The SMU Mustangs have shown their ability to play up to their level of competition this season and they will have no lack of motivation heading into this contest after dropping six straight. Temple will more than likely come away with the win, but this is a lot of points to lay in what could be a flat spot for the Owls.
