3 Unit Play. Take #319 Temple -12.5 over SMU (8:00 PM, Friday, November 6, ESPN 2)
The Temple Owls have been very good to us this season and we’re playing them again here as nearly a two TD favorite on the road against a pretty bad SMU team. Temple has gone 4-1 ATS in their last five conference games and they have been able to bounce back pretty well after a straight up loss, going 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games where they were in that situation. SMU on the other hand, has really struggled in the spot they are in here on Friday night as they have gone just 2-5 ATS in their last seven conference games and they have covered just three of their last eleven home games. Throw in the fact that the Owls are a lights out 9-3 ATS in their last twelve Friday night TV games and we’ll lay the points with them here to get a big win over SMU and improve their AAC record to 5-0 as they march towards the league title game in Philadelphia on December 5th.
4 Unit Play. Take #323/324 BYU vs. San Jose St Over 56.5 (11:30 PM, Friday, November 6, CBS Sports Network)
Two teams that have been trending to the over will meet on Friday night when the BYU Cougars travel to take on the San Jose St. Spartans at Spartan Stadium in San Jose, CA. BYU has gone 8-3 to the over in their last eleven games following an ATS win and they have gone over the posted total in five straight games where they faced a team from the Mountain West Conference. The Spartans have also been an over team in the spot they are in here on Friday night as they have gone 7-3-1 to the over in their last eleven games following an ATS win and they are a perfect 6-0 to the over in their last six home games where they faced a team with a winning record on the road. Throw in the fact that these two teams are a combined 13-3 to the over in their last 16 games following a bye week and that’s where we’ll have our play in this one as we expect both teams to put some points up on the board Friday night in San Jose.
