This is simply a bad spot for Northwestern. The Wildcats are coming off a huge effort last week when they beat Wisconsin outright as a 12.5-point underdog, thanks to five Badger turnovers. Not only is Northwestern 0-5 ATS the last five years the week after playing Wisky, but teams that win a game as a double-digit underdog are historically a bad bet the week after the upset, going 53-75 ATS. With the Illini still alive for a bowl bid, we’ll call for the upset win here today against an overrated Wildcat team that is in letdown mode.
