Top visitor referee working Mavs-Blazers game

Michael Smith has been the most road-friendly referee in this season as visiting teams have covered the spread in 11 of the 13 games he’s officiated so far this season.
The home team has gone 7-6 straight up in those games, despite being outscored by the visitors 102.9 to 99.8 in his 13 games, an average margin of 3.2 points for the road team.
Along with Ken Mauer and Marat Kogut, Smith will be working the game between the Dallas Mavericks and Portland Trail Blazers Tuesday evening. Books opened the Blazers as 1.5-point home favorites, but that has since moved to a Pick.
