Top Pick: #8 (AMERICA’S KITTEN) (3-1) – She’s one of two entered by trainer Chad Brown and the pair race uncoupled. This Ramsey home bred by ‘Kitten’s Joy’ is lightly raced and has finished second in two straight at this level. Stretch runner gets a slight edge over his barn-mate.
2nd Pick: #9 (Seeking Alpha) (5-2) – Son of ‘Medaglia d’Oro’ has been competitive in all three outings on the turf. Stalker finished second Oct 22 at Belmont racing at this level and distance. A career best, he’s working nicely since and Castellano stays aboard. Win candidate.
3rd Pick: #1 (Bluegrass Rye) (10-1) – Long shot has good early speed and is breaking from an inside post. You can toss his latest as he hated the sloppy going in a switched contest. He was only a ‘nose’ behind ‘America’s Kitten’ Sept 27 at Belmont. Colt should be involved every step at a square price.
4th Pick: #2 (Kodiva) (15-1) – Irish import is owned/trained by ‘Hall of Famer’ Jonathan Sheppard. The only filly entered, he’s adding Lasix for this attempt. May grab a minor award with some improvement.
