GULFSTREAM PARK #6 at 02:35 PM Eastern
Top Pick: #15 (TESIO) (3-1) – Filly was entered for the main track only and trainer Dom Schettino gets his wish. Race has been switched off the turf and is at the distance of seven furlongs. Home bred by ‘Mineshaft’ has early speed, a good post at this trip, and she’s dropping into a claimer for the first time.
2nd Pick: #16 (Post Script) (4-1) – Daughter of ‘Quality Road’ raced evenly for a $50K tag going six furlongs at Gulfstream Park West (the former Calder facility). Trainer Bill Mott brings her back quickly, drops her in class, and it’s Jeff Sanchez off and John Velazquez on. A strong win candidate.
3rd Pick: #13 (Brianna’s Bucket) (8-1) – She’s moving up a bit in class and switching from turf to dirt. Bred/owned/trained by Ed Broome, filly missed by a ‘nose’ Nov 12 racing on the grass. By far a career best and Paco Lopez is back on the re-ride.
4th Pick: #1 (Live by the River) (12-1) – Well backed in her first pair at Remington Park, she raced evenly in both of those facing special weights. She racing off a 2 1/2 month layoff and has a new trainer, Jane Cibelli (19% with new arrivals). Working at Palm Meadows, new barn drops her into a claimer.
