7-Unit Play. Take ‘Over’ 202.0 – Milwaukee at Chicago
(8 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 5)
It took a little while, but the Bulls are starting to catch on to Fred Hoiberg’s system and style of play. They brought Hoiberg in to shift this team’s focus from defense to offense and it is starting to work. Chicago has scored over 100 points in seven straight games and they are averaging nearly 107 points per game during that stretch. And that doesn’t include the 144 they put up last month against Detroit or 98 points they scored against a very solid Memphis defense. They are putting the ball in the hole and feeling comfortable. And now they are facing a Bucks defense that can’t stop anyone. The Spurs scored 123 points last night with ease and the Bucks have allowed 8 of 10 opponents to get over 100. Milwaukee is playing the second of a back-to-back. And normally teams that are tired see their performance fall off more on the defensive side. The ‘over’ is 5-2 in Milwaukee’s last seven games and I think they will shoot better than they did last night against the Spurs. We hit a 7-Unit winner last night with the Bucks. We’ll try to make it two in a row.

4-Unit Play. Take ‘Over’ 202.5 – New York at Atlanta
(8 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 5)
Both of these offenses love to play one another, and they have gone ‘over’ in seven of the last eight meetings. Just look at the scores from this year: 208, 215 and 213 total points. Last year their April meeting ended with 220 points. Eight of the last nine meetings have had 199 points or more, which puts us right in this range. Atlanta wants revenge after losing to the Knicks on Sunday and I think they will shoot the ball better on their home turf. The Knicks have made around 50 percent of their shots in the last two meetings in these last few weeks. That’s as well as they have shot against any team and they just like how they match up with the Hawks. The Hawks have gone ‘over’ in eight of nine games. The Knicks have played over in 7 of 10. Both teams are playing well on that end and I see that trend continuing tonight.

2-Unit Play. Take #707 Golden State (-13)
over L.A. Lakers
(10:30 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 5)
