INDIANA PACERS (-2)
The Pacers have completely dominated this series in recent seasons and with the way they are playing lately, there is no reason to suspect they won’t do the same here today. Indiana has now won 8 straight meetings against New Orleans, with three consecutive wins coming by at least 13 points, while winning by less than 8 points only 2 times in that stretch. The Pacers have also picked up 7 straight covers against the Pelicans, picked up 5 straight ATS wins in the series when also playing as the listed favorite. Indiana has also now won and covered in 4 straight meetings played in New Orleans, and seem to be facing the Pelicans at the right time here, as New Orleans is coming in off a loss against Dallas in which they were favored by 9 points and the Mavericks were sitting 4 of their starters. Expect the same here today. Pick the INDIANA PACERS on the road here today…..
CLEVELAND CAVALIERS (-10)
This one should be a blowout every which way as the Cavaliers are absolutely rolling, while the Timberwolves have hit an even new low for this long beleaguered franchise. The Timberwolves managed just 9 points in the 4th quarter in their last game, a home loss against Denver in which they managed a mere 74 points in total. The Cavaliers on the other hand have hit a gear on the opposite side of the scoring spectrum, topping 120 points in each of their L2 games heading into this one. They also have topped the 100-point mark in 4 of their L5 overall, while the Wolves have failed to hit triple-digits in any of their L9 contests. Add to that, Cleveland absolutely destroyed the Wolves in their two meetings last season, winning by an average of 18.5 points, something that should be easy to accomplish tonight especially with the current scoring woes for Minnesota. Won’t be any easier for them to score here against this Cavs defense that has held their opponents to 100 points or less in 12 of their L14 overall and 87 points or less in 5 of their L9 overall. Minnesota is also 2-10-1 ATS in their L13 ganes following an ATS loss. Go with the CLEVELAND CAVALIERS in this mismatch……
