TEMPLE (+6.5) over Penn State
3:30 p.m. ET
We will gladly take the touchdown home dog here. Penn State beat the Owls last year 30-13 as a 10-point favorite but that game was much closer than the final score suggests, since it was 6-6 in the third quarter. We continue to get bad reports on the progress of Penn State QB Christian Hackenburg and look for him to struggle against a Temple defense that returns all 11 starters from an impressive 2014 unit that last year ranked fourth in the FBS in scoring defense (17.5) and thrived on creating turnovers. In last year’s game, the Owls limited Hackenburg to 12-of-26 completions for just 112 yards, two interceptions and no TDs. Look for the Owls to hang around all afternoon once again, except this year they cash a ticket.
