8-Unit Play. Take ‘Under’ 49.0 Baltimore at Denver (4 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 13)
This is my biggest play of the weekend and this will be one of my biggest wagers in any sport this year.
I love this under and I see a low-scoring game. This total opened at 52 and has been bet down to 49.0. I think it will go even lower. All those early bets were sharp money and they all liked the under. These two teams played in the opener here in 2013. Peyton Manning threw seven touchdown passes in that game and it flew over the total at 49-27. That will not be the case in this one as these are two different teams. Denver is learning a new offense. They have a new coach and this is different from anything Manning has run in the past. Denver has a whole new offensive line and they are without several key pieces from last year’s offense like Wes Welker, Julius Thomas and Montee Ball.
Denver only averaged 16 points per game in its last three preseason games and the offense didn’t look sharp. Baltimore is also learning a new offense with new coordinator Marc Trestman taking over for Denver’s new head coach Gary Kubiak. The Ravens are without rookie wideout Breshard Perriman and they lost Torrey Smith this offseason as well. Baltimore is going to rely on its defense to get the job done and I think that this is going to be more of a field position game. Play the ‘under’ here.
