8 Unit Play. Take #914 Texas Rangers -105 over Houston Astros (8:10 PM, Thursday. September 17)
The Texas Rangers will look to complete their four game sweep of the Houston Astros when the two teams meet tonight at Globe Life Ballpark in Arlington. Texas now leads the reeling Astros by 1.5 games in the AL West after winning 14 of their last 20 games while Houston has struggled over their last ten contests, going just 3-7.

Colby Lewis, who has been good for the Rangers this season, will get the start for them tonight. He has posted a 15-8 record with a 4.45 ERA and 1.21 WHIP and he comes into the game tonight off one of his best outings of his career where he took a perfect game into the eighth inning before eventually settling for a two-hitter against Oakland. Lewis has also been lights out against the Astros in his career, posting an 8-1 record versus Houston, including a 3-0 record here in 2015. Lewis will be opposed by rookie Lance McCullers, who has been a bit up and down this season for the Astros. He has posted a 5-5 record with a 3.10 ERA in 18 starts this season but he comes into the game tonight riding a five start winless streak.

The Rangers, who as we mentioned earlier, are now the leaders in the AL West, have been very good in the spot they are in here tonight. They have posted a 13-3 record in their last 16 home games where they faced a right handed starter and they have gone an excellent 21-5 in their last 26 home games overall. The Rangers, on the other hand, have really struggled in the situation we find them in here this evening. They have gone just 4-12 in their last 16 games after they took a loss in the first three games of a series and they are an awful 14-38 in their last 52 road games.

Throw in the fact that the Rangers have gone 37-14 in the last 51 head to head meetings between these two teams in Texas and we’ll take them to win tonight over the Astros in our 8-Unit American League Game of the Year!
