Red Wings D DeKeyser suffers leg injury
Detroit Red Wings defenseman Danny DeKeyser returned home after suffering a lower left leg injury during the third period of Wednesday night’s game against the Pittsburgh Penguins in Pittsburgh.
Doctors examined DeKeyser, who also underwent additional tests on Thursday afternoon to help determine the extent of the injury.
The Red Wings offered no timetable for DeKeyser’s return to the ice while the team awaits the test results.
The 25-year-old DeKeyser played in 80 regular-season games for the Red Wings last season and finished with two goals, 29 assists and 42 penalty minutes.
