INDIAN COWBOY – (w/writeup)
8-Unit Play. #931. Take Over 7 Runs NY Yankees vs. Houston Astros (Tuesday @ 8:05pm est)
Keuchel has absolutey dominated the Yankees the last two times he has faced them. So why are we on the Over? Beacuse after getting beat twice the Yankees will undoubtedly look at the tape for this 1 game winner takes all. In 16 innings he has given up 0 earned runs and 9 hits in the process. Look for the Yankees to possibly get 9 hits alone in this contest.
It is very difficult for a pitcher to keep dominating a team. For example take a look at Texas. Keuchel gave up 3 earned runs in 15 innings the first two times he pitched against them and dominated. The third time out he gave up 9 runs, on 11 hits in less than 5 innings. Plus, this is a fantastic public fade as everyone assumes that if its an elimination game or a playoff game or even a game 7 games have a tendency to go Under, but we have always believed that it is the opposite as we love fading the public. So throw out all the previous numbers here as the Yankees bats get rolling in this one a bit earlier than people realize. As per Tanaka, he very well could lead his team for the win. Why not.
He pitched poorly in his last time out and is on a bounce-back after 3 straight quality starts and has put together 9 of 10 quality starts to his credit. He has only pitched once against Houston and it wasn’t a great start though the Yankees did win 9-6. He gave up 6 earned runs in 5 innings and we love the fact the Astros lost in their last game leading up to this game as their offense has consistently bounced back after a loss lately.
The Over is 4-0-1 for the Astros following a loss and the Over is 5-1 for the Yankees in their 6 home games when facing a team with a winning record.
