Houston Cougars rolling in meetings with SMU

The Houston Cougars have gone 5-1 straight up and against the spread in their last six meetings with the Southern Methodist Mustangs. The two will renew acquaintances at TDECU Stadium in Houston, Texas with the Cougars as 25.5-point home favorites Thursday evening.
If the spread sticks around in that vicinity, it will be the highest the Cougars have been favored by among those recent meetings. Houston covered as 21-point road faves in a 35-9 win at SMU last season.
The last time the Mustangs won and covered was in 2012, winning 72-42 and cashing as 3.5-point home dogs.
