Take Houston as -2.5 for my 5-Unit Thursday Night Football Smash of the Week. This pick falls into one of my top NFL systems and we are getting great value with a Texans team who should be favored by 4 points at home Thursday night. Luck will not have the time he needs in this road game against a Houston defense that will be out to prove something this week. Houston has the 4th most passing yards in the NFL and although so it’s about time those yards converted into points, which will come Thursday against a Colts defense ranked 27th in yards allowed this season including 21st in passing yards allowed. The Colts are averaging just 18 ppg this season and they are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games against an AFC opponent. The Texans are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games after putting up less than 90 rushing yards in their previous game and they are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games after failing to cover the number in their previous game. Houston is a lot better defensively that they have shown at times this season and I expect their best game of the season Thursday night. It really doesn’t matter if Luck starts or Hasselbeck because this Colts offensive line is like glass and for the Colts sake Luck better not start against this fired up Texans defense.
