    Oakland at Detroit

    (Monday, April 25th at 7:10 p.m.)
Graveman and Zimmerman have been two of the best pitchers in all of baseball in the early going this season. Graveman has an era of 2.04 which is remarkable in the American League. However, Zimmerman has yet to allow an earned run all season. His era is 0.00. That’s pretty good. He has done it at Pittsburgh, at KC, and at home vs. the Yankees. In his only home start vs. NY, he allowed just 2 hits in 7.0 innings pitched. Graveman faced the Yankees last week in New York and only allowed 3 hits in 6.1 innings pitched. The Yankees are certainly not hitting the ball right now and they can’t be the barometer they used to be — but pitching that well in Yankee Stadium as a visitor is worth noting. Detroit’s bats are ice cold as they have only scored 5 runs in their past four games combined. Wow. Oakland has played above and beyond their talent level this year and they had been really hitting the ball well. They were slowed a bit this weekend as Happ and Hutchison, along with the Toronto bullpen, held them to three runs in both weekend games. I like the pitchers in tonight’s opening game of the series. Graveman and Zimmerman have been light’s out so far this year and neither offense is clicking on all cylinders right now. Under is 11-3 in OAK last 14 on grass. Take the Under.
